What is edgy, guys? Have you ever thought about that? Lately, my looks started getting more edgy or at least they have a slightly edgy feel in it, so I started wondering what being edgy means. I don't like putting labels on myself, but the description that I'd found on the internet really was like reading about myself or at least I think so. Being edgy means having spunk, following your dreams and not caring about who gets in your way. Mhm, is there a person like that? I really recommend you to read more about edgy personality and maybe you'll discover another side of you, a really bold one, in fact!
So back to my edgy style. Not completely, but the colors and some grunge details really make me believe like I'm somewhere between late 80s and early 90s when bands like Alice in Chains or Nirvana started popping up. But then again, I can't let go of my classy handbag and some lace details, because why not be a little different by mixing two completely different styles? Experimenting takes time and usually some nerves too, but what to do when you are like me- don't have anything fresh and new in your closet and don't have much money to spare on clothes? You start learning to use what you already have and play with pieces like experimenting was your long-time thing. Trust me, one year or two, you'll become a pro at it. It's so easy to master these skills when you don't have much.
To get an edgy style, use accessories! They play a big role in my outfit. Simply put, If you took my choker and shoes away, the outfit would be perfectly fit for a brunch with friends in a really classy place. Can you picture that? And with the help of my new vintage Crazy Factory choker I have already so much edge that damn- couldn't be easier. I use this choker (get it here) when I get tired from the simple black velvet ones. The little metal anchor doesn't look like it would add anything, but it really does- you have to play with little details to improve your look. And have to mention how well my shoes topped everything off!! Get yourself some rough, grunge sandals, girl!
